Mary Therese Wright

Mary Therese Wright, born October 11, 1962, passed peacefully from this life on January 10, 2026.
Mary's absence will be deeply felt, in the kitchen where she lovingly prepared thoughtful meals for those she cherished, in the garden where she meticulously tended the flowers and plants she nurtured year-round, and most profoundly in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Her life's work was devoted to the long-term care industry, where she served as a nursing home administrator for 25 years, pouring her heart and soul into everything she did. She knew each resident by name and treated them with dignity, compassion, and genuine love, always striving to provide the highest quality of care and the best possible quality of life. She was deeply respected and greatly loved by her employees and co-workers, as well as by the families who entrusted her with the care of their loved ones. With her big heart and generous spirit, she gave freely of her time and energy, leaving a lasting impact on all those she served.
Mary found peace and serenity in yard work, often humming or softly singing along to her favorite Christian rock songs as she worked. She took great pride in the beauty she created, finding joy in every season and purpose in every bloom.
She had a love for dancing that matched her joyful spirit, whether out on the town or at home with her grandchildren. Time spent with them was one of her greatest joys, and she never missed an opportunity to spoil them and create memories they will carry forever.
Travel was a constant thread throughout Mary's life. She delighted in exploring new places, meeting new people, and returning often to favorite destinations in the RV. Time on the road was always an adventure, filled with discovery, laughter, and togetherness.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Wright; her children, Sabrina Scroggins and husband Doug, Samantha Ostrander and husband Thomas, Douglas Wright II and wife Deborah, and Tabatha Nauman and husband James; and her beloved grandchildren, Kiersten, Blake, Blaine, Katy, Warren, Lexie, Lanie, Olivia, and Jackson. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Manahl and wife Dina; nephews Trey, Tony, and Travis Manahl; niece Becca Manahl; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Davy Manahl; her sisters Missie and Tammi Manahl; and her cherished grandson, Mason Wright. Mary's legacy lives on through the beauty she created, the love she gave so freely, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to family.
