Mary Jane Erby, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell G. Erby; her precious granddaughter, Angela M. Orndorff; and two brothers and two sisters.
Mary Jane's survivors include her daughter, Andrea L. Fought and her companion, Donald Koser, of Mechanicsburg; her son, Russell G. Erby and his wife, Sharon, of Spring Run; her two grandchildren: Russell E. Erby and Emily L. Erby of Carlisle; her great-grandson, Seth J. Orndorff of Pittsburgh; her brother, Thomas Zimmerman and his wife, Dorie, of Palmyra; her grandson-in-law, Gary J. Orndorff of York; her loving friend, Nanaette Bordner; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary Jane wa a longtime member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg and she retired as a teacher from the Mechanicsburg Area School District in 1989.
All are welcome to join Mary Jane's family at her funeral service on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, 117 West Keller Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Reverend Marleen Elaine Griffith-Stull officiating. Interment will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003, at the family's convenience.
