COLONIE - On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, MaryAnn DiDonna (O'Connell), 84, passed away peacefully, in her sleep, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family and friends.
MaryAnn was born on January 25, 1941, and was the daughter of Ralph and Bertha DiDonna (predeceased).
She was the beloved mother of six children, Jack O'Connell (Mary), Debbie Jackson (Jeff), Eileen Iannone (James), Coleen Greene (Bobby), Joe O'Connell, and Katina Terrault (Joe). She was also a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, Eric, Kayla, Kim, Heather (Brandon) Kelly, Timothy (Paige), Shane, Aleesha, Jaimie, Thomas Jessica (Steve), and Kenny (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Olivia, Sophia, Austin, Breyson, Natalie, Adaline, Leyton, Allie, Marco, Lillian, Cullen, Reilly and Marie, each of whom she adored deeply.
She is survived by her brothers and a sister, Robert DiDonna (Linda), Michael DiDonna (Ellen), Margaret DiDonna, and Stephen DiDonna (JoAnna). She was predeceased by her brother, Richard DiDonna, whom she cherished.
MaryAnn was a woman of warmth and kindness, known for her unwavering friendships that she treasured throughout her life. She grew up in North Albany, where she met and married John (Jake) O'Connell (predeceased). They were together for over 20 years and created the big family we are today.
MaryAnn's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.
Please join us for Viewing and Mass, at St. Ambrose Church, in Latham, at 10 a.m., on Monday, June 16, 2025. Following the Mass, there will be a Christian Burial, in St. Agnes Cemetery, in Menands, N.Y.

To the OConnell family. We are very sorry to hear about the passing of your mom& grandmother. Maryann was such a beautiful woman inside & outside. She raised 6 beautiful, wonderful amazing children & you all should be very proud of her& your dad. She is now at peace but she will be deeply missed. May you all hold on to all the wonderful memories that you all had together & cherished them & hold them close to your heart. Thought & prayers are with you all. RIP . Gone but not forgotten. The Lansburg family.
