Maryanna Copeland Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 12, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Maryanna Copeland who left this world on December 4 at the age of 87. She was surrounded by her loving family, and while we mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing that she lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to those she cherished. We know she has returned home to be forever at peace.

Born on July 31 in Bellaire, Maryanna was the eldest of nine siblings. She grew up with a strong sense of responsibility and an unwavering commitment to her family.

A devoted mother, Maryanna raised two children, William James Copeland Jr and Amy Inmon whom she nurtured with endless patience, wisdom, and compassion. Her love for her children was immeasurable, and she always put their needs above her own, teaching them the values of kindness, strength, and perseverance.

As a grandmother, Maryanna brought joy and warmth to the lives of her seven grandchildren, each of whom adored her. She was an ever-present figure at family gatherings, where her laughter and love made each moment brighter. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren.

Maryanna was known for her kind heart, infectious smile, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. She had a gift for making others feel like family, offering her support and wisdom to anyone in need. Her home was always open, her heart always warm, and her hands always willing to lend a helping touch.

Her faith, her family, and her friends were the center of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is preceded in death by her husband William James Copeland and is survived by her two children, her son and daughter in law, her seven grandchildren and her two great-grandchildren. Her family and friends will remember her as a woman of incredible strength, grace, and generosity, and while she may be gone, her spirit will remain with us forever.

Rest in peace, Mom. You will always be loved, and you will never be forgotten.
