Age 80, of Chicago, passed away Friday November 14, 2025 at Methodist Hospitals Southlake Campus.
Maryanne is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Rodney Riley, children, Debra Travis, Maryanne "Sissy" Travis, Patty (Brian) Murphy, David (Tina) Travis, Cathy (Daniel) Stevens, daughter-in-law Sue Travis, grandchildren, Kelly, Michael, Christina, Amanda, David, Kimmy, Laura, Christopher, Sara, Megan, Ashley, Michael, Timothy, 15 great grandchildren, siblings, Ellen Manuel, Deedee Harmon, numerous nieces and nephews, her beloved dogs Willow, and Lucy.
Maryanne was proceeded in death by her parents Joseph and Anne, son Joseph "Bubby" Travis, granddaughter Becky Travis, great grandson Eddie Orlich, brothers, Mario "Jim" Urso, Robert "Bob" Urso, Thomas "Tom" Urso
Her family was her heart. She poured her love into every moment shared with them, creating a sanctuary of joy and laughter within her home. Maryanne possessed a nurturing spirit; she often found delight in cooking and was known for her welcoming kitchen, where she would feed anyone who crossed her threshold. Her generosity was evident not only in her meals but also in her passion for crafts and sewing.
Maryanne enjoyed her leisure time watching the Hallmark Channel, finding comfort and happiness in its romantic storylines. She shared a special bond with her beloved doggies, who were an inseparable part of her life. Together, they filled her days with companionship and joy.
Maryanne found great pleasure in participating in various activities with her seniors club. Bingo nights and card games were a testament to her spirited nature and her ability to bring friends together for fun-filled evenings.
As we remember Maryanne, we celebrate her spirit, her devotion to her family, and her unwavering commitment to spreading kindness. Her legacy will live on in the memories cherished by those who loved her. Maryanne Riley will be greatly missed, but her influence will forever echo in the hearts of all she touched.
Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service, Saturday, November 22, 2025 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM and then to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, IL 60423 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment, Good Shepard Catholic Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
