(nee Slimm) MaryEllen passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, of Magnolia, NJ, formerly of Collingswood, NJ, at the age of 81. 

Daughter of the late Harold & Isabella Slimm (nee O’Donnell). Loving mother of Stacy Stosny of Magnolia, NJ and William Ensign, Jr. (Tracy Mason) of Laurel Springs, NJ. Sister of Edward Slimm (Laurie) of Murrells Inlet, SC the late James Slimm, John Slimm and Margaret Bean. Sister-in-Law of Marlene Slimm. Proud grandmother of Kiersten Merrigan (Ian), Brandon Steffa (Kara), Peyton Ensign, Grant Ensign, Logan Mason, Hanna Mason, the late Brian Steffa, Jr. & Timothy Steffa. Adoring great grandmother of William “Liam” Steffa, Jaxson Merrigan, and little baby boy on the way. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. 

MaryEllen worked at Verizon for 35 years. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, the beach, baking and gardening. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday, October 16th from 10 – 11 AM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ, with funeral service to follow at 11AM. 

Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in MaryEllen’s memory may be made to Samaritan Hospice c/o Samaritan’s Gift Processing Center, PO Box 71425, Phila, PA 19176-1425.
