ENSIGN, Terry Paul, age 79, of Flushing, died Sunday, January 25, 2026.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Flushing United Methodist Church, 413 E. Main Street, Flushing 48433 with Pastor Ruth VanderSande officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Special Olympics or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Terry was born November 10, 1946, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Ebern and Elaine (Sanborn) Ensign. He married Dianne J. Knapp on January 4, 1969. Terry worked for Penske Motors for 9 years and retired from General Motors in 2004 after 31 years of service. Terry was a member of Flushing United Methodist Church, dual membership with Flushing Moose Club and Lapeer Moose Club. He was the honorary life-time chaplain of the Moose Riders. Terry enjoyed raising money for The Special Olympics with the Moose Club by participating in the Rev It Up Ride. Surviving are wife, Dianne Ensign; daughter, Cindy (Richard) Wagner of Clarkston; son, Chad Ensign (Jenny) of Farwell; two grandchildren, Gage and Sarah Ensign; four sisters, Sandra (Scott) Smith of Fenton; Bonnie Ensign of Fenton, Becky (Brad) Ensign-Hiller of Detroit, and Michelle (Doug) Gangwer of Fenton; many nieces and nephews.
