Maryellen Shallies Obituary
Maryellen was born in Quincy and grew up in Holbrook. She graduated from Holbrook High School in 1967. After graduation, Maryellen worked various jobs over the years, including a local typewriter company, Pneumatic Scale Co. in Quincy, and most recently Sears in Brockton, where she retired from her Human Resources position after working there for over 30 years.
During her free time, Maryellen loved doing anything crafty. She made numerous quilts and clothes for dolls over the years. She also enjoyed baking and spending time with her beloved grandson, Nolan.
Though Maryellen was quiet and reserved, she loved to laugh and spend time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
Maryellen is predeceased by her parents, Edward and Mary (Begley) Sharon, and her sister-in-law Karen "Kris" Sharon. She is survived by her loving sons, Bill Shallies of Bridgewater, and Michael Shallies and his wife Jessica of Bridgewater. Adored grandmother of Nolan Shallies of Bridgewater. Devoted sister of Kathy Lynch of Wareham, and Ed Sharon of Whitman. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, October 3rd, 2025 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater, MA 02324 from 10 AM - 12 PM. A funeral service will begin at 12 PM. Burial to follow at Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Bridgewater.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
