Cherished daughter of the late Alfred and Dorothy Buydens; beloved wife of the late Thomas Dunaj; devoted mother to Nicole (Aaron) Riccinto, Thomas (Ashley), Kyle (Jessica), and Matthew; proud and loving grandmother to Tommy, Joseph, Sammy, Henry, Connor, Tillie, Nora, and Reese.
Dear sister to JoAnn (Jim) Conlin, Judi (Bob) Connors, Denise (Jim) Becker, and Debra (Dave) Palm; and loving sister-in-law to Paulette (Jim) Bach and Pamela (Elva) Dunaj.
MaryJo was born on December 7, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan where she attended St. Matthew's and Bishop Gallagher. She dedicated many years of her life to her work as a dental assistant, where she was admired for her warmth, kindness, and care for others. Above all, MaryJo was a devoted mom and grandmother who found her greatest joy in her family. She cherished time spent together, whether hosting family gatherings, sharing stories, or cheering on her grandchildren.
MaryJo was family-oriented, compassionate, and full of life. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking, and creating a welcoming home for all who entered. Her loving spirit, generous heart, and beautiful smile will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.

Sending my deepest condolences to Mary Jo´s family and friends. All throughout our years together - St. Matthews to Bishop Gallagher you were an amazing friend. Attended Bishop Gallagher high school with beautiful Mary Jo. Became friends the first day . Every homecoming float, school event , dances & meetings she volunteered to help. Her smile lit up every hallway & classroom & everyone loved her. Still remember helping all of us trying to figure out how to sew a skirt in home economics. God bless Mary Jo . I met Mary Jo nearly 40 years ago when we were neighbors in Detroit. She had a wonderful smile and a great sense of humor that she passed down to her children. Her children were my constant entertainment and a joy to be around. Mary Jo was a wonderful wife, mother and friend and I was blessed to have her in my life. Rest in peace. Until we meet again.

Lost Mary Jo yesterday so young. She was a very special lady who loved her family dearly. She will be deeply missed by all but my heart knows she was reunited with Tom who she loved and missed so deeply. I can still hear her telling Tom to straighten up Mister whenever we would have a few to many "which seemed to happen every now and then when we were together. We meet in 1987, and had a instant bond. We will miss them both forever.
