Marzzie Faye Johnson, 79, of Tecumseh, OK, passed away peacefully into the presence of the Lord and Savior on September 29, 2025.

Born on March 23, 1946, Marzzie devoted her life to service, family, and faith. She married the love of her life, John Johnson, on March 23, 1965, in Lubbock, TX. Together they built a life centered on ministry and compassion, with Marzzie faithfully serving as a devoted preacher’s wife for 53 years.

Marzzie earned her nursing degree from the Bing School of Nursing and a business degree from East Central University, in Ada, OK. She spent her life caring for others, both through her profession and her personal ministry. She will be remembered not only for her skills and dedication, but for her kindness, wit, warmth, and unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. One of her final statements summed up her life and hope; “do not cry for me. I’m going to Heaven, and you have the opportunity to join me”.

She is survived by her loving husband, of 60 years, John Johnson; three children and their spouses, Betsy Waldrop and Matt, Charlie Johnson, and Melissa, and Mikeal Johnson; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and her beloved rescue cat Meow Baby, (she loved that cat!).

Marzzie’s legacy of faith, service and love will live on through all who were blessed to know her.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Highway Baptist Church, north of Seminole, with Rev Carl Whitfield officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
