Mathilda Metzger was born on August 1st, 1935 in Fredericksburg, Texas to John William and Ida Elizabeth Blum Metzger
She married Melvin H. Itz on December 29th,1954 in the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fredericksburg
Mathilda is survived by one daughter, three sons and spouses:
Bruce and Donna Itz of Fredericksburg
Mary and Keith Reeh of Fredericksburg
Mark and Cathy Itz of Blanco
Mike and Lesli Itz of Liberty Hill
Eight Grandchildren: John Mount, Ben Itz, Nathan Itz, John Skylar Itz, Allison Itz, Audrey Itz, Tyson Sasko and Travis Sasko
One Great Grandchild: Dani Caye Itz
Brother: Bob and Diane Metzger of Fredericksburg
Sister in laws: Leta Ann, Mrs. James "Jimmy" Metzger of Fredericksburg
Peggy, Mrs. Fritz Metzger of Fredericksburg
Mathilda is preceded in death by her parents: John William and Ida Elizabeth Blum Metzger, Husband: Melvin H. Itz, Two children: David Dean Itz and Lisa Marie Itz, Three Brothers: James "Jimmy" Metzger, Billy Metzger and Fritz Metzger.
There will be a visitation on Friday, January 23rd from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. in the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fredericksburg with a Rosary Service at 1:30 P.M. and the Mass of Resurrection at 2 P.M.
Graveside services and interment will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers: John Itz, Nathan Itz, Ben Itz, John Mount, Todd Metzger, Robert Metzger, Allison Itz, Audrey Itz, Tyson Sasko, Travis Sasko and John Metzger
For those who so desire you may make memorial contributions in her memory to the St. Mary's School Endowment Fund, Masses at St. Mary's Catholic Church or to the charity of your choice.
