Mathilda "Tillie" Particka

Mathilda Kathleen Buchkowski Particka, also Known as Tillie, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026 at Courtney Manor Nursing Center of Bad Axe. She was born on April 30, 1923 in Ubly Michigan to the late Joseph and Mary (Kulish) Buchkowski. She was the youngest of nine daughters but is now the oldest living daughter of the family. Tillie and Art Particka were united in marriage on October 14, 1944. She attended the Maurer Country School, and enjoyed gardening, especially strawberries, playing cards and she also enjoyed tatting, and loved to polka dance.

She is survived by her sons: Gerald (Nancy) Particka of Chesaning, Eugene Particka of Filion, Daniel (Cheryl) Particka of Flushing, Brian (Brenda) Particka of Filion, 3 daughters: Carolyn (Duane) Guza of Harbor Beach, Rita (Dennis Sweeney of Bad Axe, Nancy (Jim) Potestivo, of Brownstown, 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Aloizy Buchkowski and Joseph Buchkowski, and sisters: Isabelle Swartz, Sophia Susalla, Albina Maurer, Gertrude Susalla-Messing, Emma Fisher, Bernice Ignash, Josephine Miller, Theresa Glaza, and Marie Krozek.

Funeral Mass for Tillie will be Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 11:30 am at St. Joseph Church, Rapson, of the St. Hubert Parish. Visitation on Tuesday, will be at the church, beginning at 9:30 am until time of services at 11:30 am. Burial will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the Donor's Choice.

Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach.
