Mati Rose Rodgers of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 83.
She was born in Cedar Bluff, MS on September 10, 1942 to Leroy and Mattie (Johnson) Petty.
Mati was a proud employee of The United States Postal Service and retired after 25 years of dedicated service.
Mati married Frank Elbert Rodgers, Jr. on September 18, 1975 in Detroit, Michigan. He preceded her in passing.
She is survived by her stepson, Rashei Francis (Roxanne), two grandchildren Kamala and Sinaa Mati, a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will cherish her memory always.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
