Matilda Mohan

Matilda Mohan of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, has entered heavenly glory on April 6, 2025, at her son Anderson Mohan's home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 2, 1944, in Tuticorin, India, to Francis Sironmani and Jeyarathy Isabella, she was the fourth of nine siblings. Matilda received her education at Sarah Tucker Higher Secondary School in Palayamkottai, India, and later completed her teacher training at St. John Teacher's Training School in Nazareth, India. She dedicated her career to nurturing young minds as an elementary school teacher.

On May 22, 1968, she married Jacob SundaraMohan, and together they were blessed with two children, Cathy Jeyachandran and Anderson Mohan, and four grandsons, Andrew Jeyachandran, Chris Anderson, Adley Anderson, and Daniel Anderson.

A formal Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with visitation commencing at 10:00 AM. The event will take place at Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church, located at 6875 Jamaica Ave S, Cottage Grove, MN 55016. Interment will follow at Cottage Grove Cemetery, 10999 70th St S, Cottage Grove, MN 55016.
