Matina Dianne Marlow

Matina "Dianne" Marlow, 76, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, after a short season of illness. Dianne lived a life full of stories, strong opinions, and unforgettable moments. She leaves behind a presence that will not easily fade.

Though small in stature, Dianne carried a big personality. She was spirited, independent, and deeply loyal to those she loved. To truly know Dianne was to know someone who left an impression long after the conversation ended.

She found joy in the simple pleasures; shared laughter, yard sales, road trips, playful bickering with friends, and moments that turned into lifelong memories. She had a legendary love for Elvis Presley, a devotion that brought her genuine happiness and became one of her most recognizable traits. Music, laughter, and storytelling followed her wherever she went.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Evelyn Hooks; her beloved husband, Danny Marlow; and her brother, Ronnie Hooks. Those who loved her take comfort in imagining her reunited with them and having a hot cup of coffee, exactly where she belongs.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherie Levine (Holly) of Jackson; her sons, Stephen Marlow, Daryl Marlow, and Christopher Marlow, all of Marietta; her grandchildren, Britney Marlow, Scott George, Danielle Marlow (Cameron Gooding), Abigail Marlow, Loomis Marlow, and Grace Marlow; and her great-grandchildren, Kevin Marlow, Jaxon Smith, and Stiles Parker, each carrying forward pieces of her spirit.

Losing Dianne was not easy, and saying goodbye after a long journey is a unique kind of heartbreak. But love remains in the stories she left behind, the laughter she sparked, and the lessons, spoken and unspoken, that will continue to shape her family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna.
