Roberta Orrell Obituary
She was born on October 10, 1946, at Georgia Baptist Hospital on Atlanta to Robert D. and Lucy Echols Orrell.
Because of injuries during birth, she faced many health difficulties throughout her lifetime, but persevered to live a wonderful life of loving her family and friends. She was of the Christian faith and found great joy in reading her Bible daily. She was very compassionate about helping others, especially the elderly and often volunteered at a nursing home.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Orrell, Jr., and Winfred Orrell and his wife Agnes.
She is survived by her sister, Judy Welch (Larry) of Smyrna, GA, two nieces, Kerri Bounds (Charlie) of Smyrna and Lara Lemley (Jason) of Rockmart, GA, and nephew, Winfred C. Orrell, Jr. (Linda) of Meeteetse, WY.
She dearly loved her great nieces and nephews: Jackson, Mary Charles, Marshall, and Lucy Grace, and her many wonderful cousins.
The family would like to thank Tranquility Hospice for the excellent and compassionate care.
To her friends, please pause and reflect on your friendship with Kay and say a prayer for her family as they honor her life with a private graveside service at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
