I just now found out that Chip had passed away. I was an old college friend at WCU and unfortunately had been out of touch for several years. He was a very good friend and I am so sorry to hear the news. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I had the pleasure of working closely with Chip for many years an no matter how hard your day was or what was going on he always found a way to make you smile and laugh. He surely will be missed and I pray for his family. I'm sure he is up in heaven smiling down at the legacy he left of a dedicated father and the impact of friendship he left with all of us.
