He was preceded in death by: parents, Ferdinand and Rose (Thimmesch) Eck; son, Raymond Eck; siblings, Donna Mae Peters, Ann Brown, Mary Lou Martin, Donald Eck, Maurice Eck, Charles Eck and Paul Eck.
Matt is survived by: loving wife of 62 years, Pat; children, Dal (Jeri) Eck, Doug (Kim) Eck, and Tony (Dana) Eck; brother, Kenny Eck; 13 grandchildren, Chelsee (Trent) Cox, Willie (Erica) Eck, Sydnee Eck, Dani (Brandon) Givens, Colton (Tori) Eck, Levi Eck, Dylan (Elizabeth) Eck, Zach (Karsen) Eck, Kasidee Eck, Ellee Eck, Lainee Eck, Owen Eck and Tori Eck; 12 great-grandchildren, Tristen, Laycee, Ty, Chloee, Allee, Tate, Xavier, Lyla, Marshall, Bearett, Lottie and Milo.
Recitation of the rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 22nd, 2025 and the funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025 both at St. Mark Catholic Church (19230 W. 29th St. N, Colwich, Kansas 67030).
In Lieu Of Flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to: St. Mark Catholic Church Building Fund (19230 W. 29th St. N, Colwich, Kansas 67030), Brawler Wrestling Club (4989 N. 295th W., Mt. Hope, Kansas 67108), Andale High School Wrestling (700 Rush Ave. Andale, Kansas 67001) and Andale High School Football (700 Rush Ave. Andale, Kansas 67001).

I am truly sorry for your loss. My heart sank when I heard the news, as I will always have a special place in my heart for Matt and the family. Matt and all of you played such an important roll in my real estate career. Thanks to all of you, to this day, I still promote all the things I learned early in my career and pass it along to new agents in the biz. He will be sorely missed. Christie and I were deeply saddened to hear of Uncle Sonny's passing. He will be missed. Uncle Sonny and the rest of the family helped me with my parent's house and matters after their passing and it was one of my darkest times and I will be forever grateful for Uncle Sonny's and the rest of the family's love and support. You are now in heaven with my mom and dad and I know you are all looking down on me. Christie and I will also forever be grateful for Uncle Sonny's constant support with our daughter Kennedy in her softball journey, he loved hearing about it all. The love and support you have given me and my family will never be forgotten. We love and will miss you Uncle Sonny! The entire family is in our thoughts and prayers and we love you all!
