Matthew Ray Aguirre, 26, passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, due to injuries sustained in a car accident in Sherman. Funeral: 3 p.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Fort Worth. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Matthew was born June 12, 1985, in Las Vegas, Nev. He graduated from North Crowley High School in 2004 and the University of North Texas in 2008. He was an Eagle Scout, and his dream was to become a movie director. He was a second-grade teacher at Manuel Jara Elementary in Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his father, Arturo C. Aguirre Jr. Survivors: His mother, Jetty Arnett Aguirre of Harrison, Ark.; brother, Anthony Aguirre and wife, Jennifer, of Burleson; niece, Jayde Aguirre; and numerous extended family members.
