Matthew Blankenship Obituary
November 4,1995 - March 9, 2024
Matthew Albert Blankenship passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on March 9, 2024, and was welcomed by the Lord with open arms.
Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester W. Lang, M.D., Rebecca Lang, Lois Still, and Tom Still. He is survived by his parents, Albert and Robin Blankenship, and his brother and sister, Andrew and Sara Blankenship as well as his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Matthew was born in Georgetown, Texas on November 4, 1995, to parents Albert and Robin Blankenship. He grew up in Georgetown where he attended school and graduated from Chip Richarte High School. He loved to skateboard and hang out with his friends around town. One of whom is his lifelong friend, Phoebe Lynn Durr who loved him dearly.
After graduating from high school, Matthew and his brother, Andrew, moved in together in Austin, Texas. They loved living together in Austin, where they worked and met with friends to play card games and socialize.
Matthew was an amazing, creative soul. He was an artist and dabbled in painting and many different media including sketching, painting, graffiti, and screen printing. He loved hiking and exploring the outdoors at every chance he had. He loved to go to Bull Creek Park with his friends.
Matthew will always be remembered for his kindness and loving spirit that brought everyone he ever met together to laugh and have fun. He will be forever missed.

I met Matthew online through work. He´s very determined and eager. Other than work stuff, he and the guys would always ask us to teach them Filipino words and we would always talk about Filipino food. He´s very kind and friendly and he definitely will be missed. Rest in Peace, Matt!

Met Matthew at work as our QA partners with the MNL team. I remember him as being curious, passionate, and hardworking. We loved talking about gaming and never did I knew that I´d have a friend like him who´s as kind and compassionate. My condolences to the family and friends as he´s now with our Lord experiencing all the blessing he deserves. You´ve touched lives and I´m thankful to have gotten to know you even if it was just a short while.

I worked with Matthew and I cannot express how much of a joy it was to be his coworker. He had so much sunshine in his personality. Every day was fun with his humor, kindness, helpfulness and warmness.
The world less bright without him despite the fact he wore all black every day. Truly a don't judge a book by its cover human being. Matthew, I will forever remember our time fondly.
