Matthew Stewart Boucher, 71, of Huntingtown, Maryland, passed away on October 17, 2025, at his home under the care of his children and hospice. Born on June 12, 1954, in Washington, D.C, he was the son of Doris Jean (Shorter) and Edward John Boucher.Matthew grew up in Oxon Hill, Maryland along with six siblings. He attended Oxon Hill High School, graduating class of 1973. He went on to become a certified electrician and held a successful career at PEPCO which lasted for over thirty years. He married Dorothy Richards on April 8, 1985 then adopted their two daughters, Evelyn Breeze in '88 and Rebecca Jean in '89. Two years later, in '91, they welcomed their son, Travis Vincent.Matthew was a true sports fanatic, known for his devotion to the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Redskins. He loved to read books by Patterson and Baldacci. He had a deep appreciation for Western films, especially the John Wayne classics. He also enjoyed listening to music of his time, solving the crossword and reading the comics in the Sunday Post, golfing and playing softball with his close circle of life-long friends.He is survived by his beloved children, Evelyn, Rebecca, and Travis Boucher; grandchildren Savannah, Khloé, and Chance; siblings Michael, Barb, John, Lynn, Julie, and Tommy; numerous nieces and nephews, and mother of his children Dorothy Richards.In accordance with his wishes, a cremation will take place along with a private family gathering
