I have known you for 2 years, and it feels like a long time. I regret not asking how you were or how your day was. I know you were hard on us, but it was for a good reason. You wanted us to be good people in life, and now that you won't be there for us when we succeed, it's even more important. I know that you would´ve been proud of us. I loved the stories that you would tell us. The crazy ones, the funny ones, the happy ones, and the sad ones. When we found out what happened, it was the worst news of our lives. I would have never thought that something like this would happen. It would drive me crazy to see you not here with us. You weren't the nicest person, but you were one of the most real person, and when something was wrong, you would say it. You always had an opinion on everything. I loved that you were never afraid to overcome anything. You were the best advice giver, the best father, the best friend, and the best major. We will forever miss you and will keep you in our hearts. Rest in peace, to the best major.

My most sincere condolences to the Campbell family. Matt was a terrific friend, and an outstanding leader to the cadets. It was an honor to work with him on many projects out in the community & in at MHS. Many prayers to Matt's family & may God Bless Matt forever.

Major,
Thank you for believing in me when life got hard. Even tho you got mad at me sometimes, you still were so proud of me. The day I won best cadet in PA, I fully understood how proud you were. I was so excited to come back home from Pittsburgh and just tell you my school stories and how Pitt is better than Penn state and have a whole talk about it. Tell you about marching band, and just talk about how I am finally accomplishing my dreams. Major is the reason I am in this position today, he was the first person I told when I visited the school that I was recently diagnosed with depression and anxiety and he never judged me. He didn´t treat no one differently, he wanted the best for all of us no matter who we were or our past. To his family, know that he was an amazing man and amazing person who cared for everyone. He never once turned his head from a challenge. He wanted us to accomplish everything. Know that he is the reason students from Muhlenberg believe that good people do exist and want the best for us.
Rest easy Major, you did it. The one thing you were searching for in us, to find greatness and to raise citizens of character. You did it.
