Matthew James Capeless II

Matthew James Capeless II, age 28, of Havelock, NC, formerly of Dracut, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Daesha (Halliman) Capeless.
He was born in Lowell on August 30, 1994 and was the son of Matthew and Laura (Ignatowicz) Capeless of Dracut.
Matthew was raised in Dracut and was a graduate of Dracut High School with the Class of 2013. He proudly served in the United States Navy as a Corpsman for ten years. He recently graduated from the Fire Academy and was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician.
In addition to his wife and parents, Matthew leaves his daughter Katy Walker; his sister Candy Capeless and her partner Phil Gambino of Salem, MA; his grandmothers, Joan Beaulieu of Ludlow, MA and Doris Daigneault of Nashua; his mother and father-in-law Sandra Walker and Richard Lohr of Summerville, SC; and his Godfather William DeWare of Nashua. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Sadly, he was predeceased by his grandfathers Neil Capeless and Joseph F. Ignatowicz, and his step-grandfather Robert Beaulieu.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Interment with full military honors will be held on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 11 am at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH. Kindly gather at the cemetery.
