Matthew Stephen Carter was born on April 6, 1985, in Bossier City, LA, and passed away on June 15, 2023, in Bossier City, LA

Matt grew up in Bossier City and East Texas and spent his adult life in Bossier City, Austin, TX, and the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Matt loved watching and talking about sports, especially the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers.  He became interested in technology at a young age and, beginning when he was a teenager, spent countless hours building and working on computers.  Matt always loved animals and enjoyed little more than playing with the family’s dogs throughout his life.

Matt was preceded in death by his father, Jeffery Thomas Carter, Sr.; and grandparents, Howard and Mary Bell and Elmo and Evelyn Carter Haley.  He is survived by his mother, Shannon Bell Carter Jividen and husband, Randy Jividen; his brother, Jeffery Thomas Carter, Jr. and wife, Heather Ondercin; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home at 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, LA 71111.  A short graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Rose-Neath Cemetery at 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, LA 71111.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research (https://lustgarten.org/) or the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana (https://www.hsnwla.com/).
