Matthew Ryan Christian, 44, of Taylorsville, Kentucky was called home unexpectedly by our Heavenly Father on September 18, 2025.

He was the loving son to Mitchell and Terri Christian and often joked that he was the family's "Golden Child." He was a devoted husband to Bridgit Christian, his beloved wife of 17 years, and a proud father to their three sons, Maddox, Brody, and Noah, who were the light of his life.

Matt cherished his family deeply, sharing laughter and memories with his sisters Adrienne (Seth), Katie (Nathan) and Sarah (Avery) nephews Ollie, Benny, and Gavin and nieces Audrey, Zeta, and Della.

He dedicated two decades of his professional life to IBEW Local 369, many of those years were with Delta Services. Matt was respected for his steady work ethic and the pride he took in every job, but what mattered most to him were the friendships he built along the way.

Outside of work, Matt found joy in the great outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer. One of Matt's greatest joys was spending time at "Camp" with his dad, sons, cousins, uncles, and hunting buddies. He treasured those moments and the bonds they created.

Matt's quiet strength, humor, and kindness touched everyone who knew him. His legacy will live on through his sons and the countless lives he influenced, the love he gave, and the memories that will be cherished forever.

Matt was preceded in death by other beloved family members who welcomed him home.

Visitation will be 1:00pm - 5:00pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Ratterman Brothers, East Louisville (12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40243) with funeral service to begin at 5:00pm, and visitation to continue after the service until 8:00pm.
