Matthew Elam Obituary
Matthew enjoyed playing guitar, drums, keyboard, and singing. He was taught by his mother when he was teenager to do all these things. He loved to sit around after family get togethers to play music.
He is survived by his children, Matthew Christopher Elam and wife Angie, and Jordan Gage Elam; sisters, Lisa DeAnn Benoit and husband George, Christina Dale Huffman, and Tina Taylor and husband Joe; nieces and nephews, Britney Dale, Timothy Dale, Tristan Alli, Charles Allen, Felicia Jade, John Robert, Luke Allen, and Matthew Lewis; and great nieces and nephews, Hayden Beau, Jude Payten, Norah Jade, Kida Faye, and Vada Catherine.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Monique Babin-Elam; mother, Catherine Irene Fontenot; father, Michael David Elam; stepfather, Leroy Dale Wilson; sister, Michelle Denean Elam; and nephew, Dakota Dale Singleton.
Cremation was entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana.
