Matthew Warren Fuller "Matt" 37, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Warren and Gladys Fuller, Conrad and Ruth Schenk, an aunt, Lois Angelo, and an uncle, Garry Schenk.
Survivors include his children Mya and Kailem; parents Dave and Ginny Fuller, brother David Fuller, sister Theresa Papaleo (David), uncle Bob Schenk (Joan), cousins Emily Hughes (Chris), Katie Straughn (Garrett), Jim Thornton (Pam), and second cousins. His extended family included birth mother Tami Booth (John), brothers Eric Hewitt (Emily), Patrick Booth (Belinda), sisters Amy Tyler (Dallas), Amy Campbell (Chad), nieces and nephews. Matt was also blessed to have several close friends who thought of him as a brother.
He was a graduate of North Oldham High School, attended Southeast Christian Church, was involved in a Bible study group, and volunteered in outreach ministries. He was employed as a cook and a personal assistant.
Lifelong friends and family have described Matt as kind, caring, friendly, had a heart of gold, polite, loyal, hard worker, adventurous, a good friend, and a "one of a kind guy". Everyone also remembers that his signature greeting/closing words were: "I love you."
A memorial service will be held at 11 am Friday, October 21, 2022, at Christ Church United Methodist, 4614 Brownsboro Road, Louisville, KY. Visitation will also be held at the church from 5-8 pm on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to The Bridge Ministry (12-step ministries in West Louisville at Market and Jefferson). Checks can be mailed to Christ Church United Methodist (4614 Brownsboro Road, 40207) and can be made payable to CCUM with "The Bridge" in the memo line.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pearson's, "Where Louisville goes to remember."
