Spt. Matthew "Matt Daddy" James Gower
Matt left this earth on June 19, 2024. To try and encapsulate who he was into a few paragraphs is impossible. Matt was one of the kindest human beings you would have ever met and probably never knew it. He was most definitely a quiet soul; however, it was not that he did not want to speak or interact, he simply choose very wisely, the time and place when he wanted to.
He was a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and was able to see them win multiple Super Bowls. Matt adored his dog Dilly and when not working, spent all his time with her. He enjoyed video games, movies and showing everyone all the new technology he was using. Matt loved to work with his hands and could fix just about any car or anything with a motor. He was a large motorcycle enthusiast and loved to ride. His educational accomplishments include graduating from Edison High School and a diploma from Oklahoma Technology College in Automotive Technology.
Matt was a proud Army Veteran and did multiple tours in Operation Enduring Freedom. Until the time of his passing, he worked for the Veterans Administration in Tulsa. Most of his life after the Army were spent on helping other Veterans in one way or another. His military achievements are extensive, they are: The Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal and the Community of Heroes Award for his work at the Disabled Veterans association. The hole in this world that he has left cannot be described.
Matt is proceeded in death by his Father Billy Gene Gower, his Brother Jeffery Alan Gower and Grandmother Colleen Elizabeth Burke. He is survived by his loving Parents Diane Gower-Patterson and Robert Patterson, Brother Stephen Gower, Niece Sophia Gower along with many friends and family.

I Worked with Matt at the VA in Tulsa for a few years I'm really shocked and sad for his Family God Bless him and his family Great friend and Veteran RIP Matt Glad I met you may we meet again in the new world with Christ
