Matthew Coleman Hatcher, age 53, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Auburn Nursing Home in Auburn, KY of natural causes. The family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life service to be held at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Matthew was born in Elberfeld, IN, on May 24, 1972, the son of Dorris Wayne Tucker of Todd County, and the late Rebecca Louise Hatcher. He was a self-employed Mechanic. He loved to work on things and help friends when they needed a hand. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Michelle Harris Hatcher in December of 2023, and his grandparents, Melvin and Serena Hatcher.

In addition to his father, Dorris Wayne Tucker, of Todd County; survivors include, his sons, Nicholas Anthony "Nick" Harris of Hopkinsville, KY, Zackery Gafford of Hopkinsville, KY; his brother, Christopher (Barbie) Mottley of Bowling Green, KY; his grandson, Wyatt Anthony Douglas and another grandchild on the way; his niece, Krystal (Blake) Janes of Crofton, KY; his nephew, DJ (Samantha) Duncan of Franklin, KY; and his partner, Jennifer Gafford, of Hopkinsville, KY.
