Matthew was born on December 31, 1966, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in De Queen, and he loved watching TV, especially dramas and cartoons.
He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Edward Hodges; one brother, Paul Hodges; and one sister, Carla Hodges.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Bowens, three brothers and sister-in-law, John Hodges, Ryan and Kristin Pharr, and Trevor Hodges; one sister, Estie Joann Hughes, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A private family burial will be held at Beacon Hill Cemetery in De Queen, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
