With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Matthew Gregory Kennon-a beloved husband, father, son, brother, nephew, and friend. Matthew left this world far too soon, and his absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled.
Matthew was born on August 3, 1995, and throughout his life, he touched countless hearts with his kindness, compassion, and gentle soul. He had a deep love for nature-fishing brought him peace, animals brought him joy, and plants brought him a sense of quiet. He truly had the biggest heart-always giving, always caring, always present for those he loved.
To know Matthew was to love him. He had a special way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. His laughter, his thoughtfulness, and the way he saw beauty in the simple things will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Tribute and Tallent Funerals and Cremation from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. It will be an informal gathering where all are welcome to pay their respects, share stories, and remember Matthew in the way he would have wanted-surrounded by love, memories, and connection.
In accordance with his wishes, Matthew will be cremated. His wife invites anyone who would like to keep a part of him close to please contact her directly at least 24 hours before the service. She is also available if you have any questions, memories to share, or simply need someone to talk to during this difficult time.
Matthew will be missed more than words can say, but his spirit will live on in every story told, every quiet moment in nature, and every act of kindness done in his memory.
