Janet Hall Obituary

Janet Hall

1946-2025

Janet Jean Hall, 79, of Sylvania, OH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the end of a week-long vacation with her family along the shorelines of Lake Norman, NC. A celebration of her life will be scheduled in the coming months.

The love of my life. She was the nicest person in the world. Never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She loved life, she loved her children and grandchildren. She loved me. We courted for three years while she went through nursing school at Mercy School of Nursing. She loved people and enjoyed taking care of them.

She worked in a variety of types of nursing. Such as industrial, geriatrics, neonatal, pediatrics, infection control, HIV, W.W. Knight Family Health, then ended her career with hospice nursing. Following retirement, she continued as a volunteer with hospice services.

She loved her flower garden, quilting and crafting; then giving her creations to others. She was very talented at all of these. She will be missed by many, especially by me.

She was my soulmate in earthly life, and in the hereafter forever. I know that Jesus and God loved her because her heart was full of the Holy Spirit.

She graduated from Start High School in 1964, Mercy School of Nursing in 1967, and also married Howard that same year. Janet is survived by her husband, Howard R. Hall; her son, Adam Hall (Tracy Hall); her daughter, Beth Masters; grandsons, Sean Masters and Seth Hall; and her sister, Mary (Close)Young.

We all loved her to the fullest and deeply miss her.

I have been thinking a lot about Jan after reading this. I met her while working for ProMedica. She was a lovely person with a great voice. I regret that we didn´t keep in touch. So very sorry for your loss.

Jan was a good friend and colleague of mine at Toledo Hospital and at WW Knight. We even traveled to conferences together, enjoying the opportunity to learn more and to have fun. She was indeed one of the nicest persons I´ve ever known and anyone who knew her liked her. I´m so sorry for your loss.

Janet lived two doors down from us on Carthage Road. Her son. Adam, and our son Jeremy were the best of friends. Even though we were not neighbors any longer, we never lost that connection. We will miss her always.

I went to Mercy School of Nursing with Jan. I remember Jan always having a beautiful smile and always so happy and caring. She had such a positive attitude. I am so very sorry for your loss and sending my prayers to you for the days ahead.
