Mr. Matthew Brett Kinard

A visitation for Matthew Brett Kinard, 25, will be held Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. Brett passed away suddenly Saturday, December 7, 2013. Born in Coconut Creek, Florida, he was a son of Kristopher Kinard and Sheila Bayne. He attended Riverland Hills Baptist Church. Brett was a 2006 graduate of Dutch Fork High School and was employed with the City of Columbia. He enjoyed working on cars, music and dancing. He loved helping others and truly lived life to the fullest. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Jennifer Kinard; brother, Jake (Lynn) Kinard; nieces and nephews, Noah, Emma, Brandon, Gracyn, Khristian; cousins, Lucas (Anna Ross) Kinard, Dustin Kinard, Josh Pack, Caleb Pack, Katelyn Pack, Jessica Cato, Morgan Cato; uncle, Kyle (Lisa) Kinard; aunts, Kathy (Carroll) Pack and Trisha (Donnie) Cato. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Eugenia Bayne. Brett is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Anita Kinard; paternal grandfather, Leighton Kinard; maternal grandfather, Donald Bayne; and uncle, Keith Kinard. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the MDA National Headquarters, 3300 East Sunrise Drive, Tucson, AZ 85718 in honor of uncle, Kyle Kinard.
