Matthew Charles Kouba, 60, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born on February 6, 1966, in Syracuse, NY, Matthew grew up in Fayetteville, where he spent much of his early life.

Matthew was the son of the late Albert Kouba and Mary (Gavan) Kouba. He graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School in 1984 and went on to work as a self-employed contractor for many years.

Matthew had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He also loved spending time at the beach and appreciated the simple moments life had to offer.

He is survived by his children, Bruce Kouba, Jillian Kouba, and Matthew Kouba; his stepson, Joey Chmielewski his sisters, M.A. (Kouba) Dailor and Patricia (Kouba) Arbetman; his grandson Rylie; step grandson Andrew; his former wife, Debbie Kouba and partner; Christine Gass.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday March 17th at Eaton-Tubbs Funeral Home 7191 E. Genesee St Fayetteville, NY 13066 with burial immediately following the service.

Arrangements are entrusted to Eaton-Tubbs Funeral Home.
