Matthew Cody Loch

Matthew Cody Loch, 42, of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, passed away on April 28, 2025. Born on September 23, 1982, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Matthew was a beloved husband, father, son, teacher, coach, and friend whose impact will be felt for generations.
A proud graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), Matthew furthered his passion for education by earning a master's degree. He devoted his career to shaping young lives as a dedicated teacher and coach at both Edmond Public Schools and Kingfisher Public Schools. Through coaching wrestling, football, basketball, and baseball, Matthew mentored countless students-not just in sports, but in life.
On May 18, 2013, Matthew married the love of his life, Cassandra "Casey" Loch. Their bond was a true partnership-marked by love, laughter, and unwavering support. Together they built a beautiful life surrounded by their children: Seth, Eden, and Koby Loch, and Ashleigh, Haleigh (Mackenzie), and Megan Klaus. Matthew found immense joy in being a father and was especially proud of his grandchildren: Devin, Sam, Rhiannon, and Silas who called him Matt.
He had a deep love for music, travel, and quality time with his family. Whether planning adventures to Las Vegas or the beach or simply enjoying a night at home, Matthew lived with intention and heart. His family was his world-especially his wife, Casey, who was his greatest joy and companion.
Matthew's legacy is one of compassion, dedication, and love. He will be deeply missed by his students, athletes, colleagues, friends, and most of all, his family.
He is survived by his wife, Cassandra "Casey" Loch; children Seth Loch, Eden Loch, Koby Loch, Ashleigh Klaus, Haleigh (Mackenzie) Klaus, and Megan Klaus; grandchildren Devin, Sam, Rhiannon, and Silas; parents Bill and Diana Loch, and Craig Steinfeldt; and siblings Zac, Amber, Sydney, and Amanda.
He is preceded in death by his brother, John Taylor Loch; sister, Tara; and sister-in-law, Jamie Phillips.
A celebration of Matt's life will be held on Tuesday evening, May 6th at 6:00 pm. Everyone who wants to attend is welcome.
