Matthew worked as a pipe fitter and enjoyed the outdoors, was an excellent cook, and loved lavish details.
Matthew is survived by his five daughters, Alina Monk, Kelsey Monk, Holly (Monk) Szuter, Keira Monk, and Sophia Monk, his grandson Ellis, his parents; sister, Denise McConnell; his beloved dog Tank, and many more who cared for him.
Matthew was remembered in a private ceremony and will be celebrated this summer by the sea at his favorite beach in South Carolina.
