Matthew John "Matt" Mulhern

Matthew John Mulhern, age 54, of Lakeville, MN, formerly of Rosemount and Cannon Falls, passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2024. Matt was born on July 24, 1970, in Cannon Falls, MN to Lyman and Janet (nee Raasch) Mulhern. He grew up in the Cannon Falls area and was a 1988 graduate from Cannon Falls High School. After his graduation he attended Winona State University and received his bachelor's degree in Mass Communications: Advertising. At the time of Matt's passing, he was working for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Minneapolis.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Kellee Mulhern (nee; Knutson), parents, and his brother, Jim. Matt is survived by his children: Kylie Jackson and Kassidy (Nick) Dillner; grandson, Louie Dillner; siblings, Mike, Sue (Rick) Munion, Jerry (Linda), Dan (Donna), and Tom Mulhern; also by nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends who loved him dearly.
Matt will forever be remembered for his kindness, humor, and the immense love he shared with everyone around him. His greatest passions were his family and friends, whom he cherished deeply and always put first. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life-basking in the sun, reading a good book, fishing, spending time with his beloved cat Juliet, and having meaningful conversations with those close to him. To say he will be missed is an understatement.

Funeral Service, 11 am Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Ave., Apple Valley. (952-432-2001) with Visitation from 5-8 pm Wednesday (9/25) also at the White Funeral Home in Apple Valley, and one hour prior to the service. Interment, Oaklawn Cemetery, Northfield, MN.
