Matthew Allen Nath

Matthew Nath, age 20, of Somers, IA, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026. Matthew Allen was born on January 18, 2006, to parents Brian and Dawn (Ehlers) Nath in Lake City, IA. He lived in the Somers/Laurens area and graduated from South Central Calhoun High School with the class of 2024.

Matt was employed by Doug and Greg Hucka of Lake City. In his spare time, Matt enjoyed trapshooting and building Star Wars Lego models. Everything about the farm: combines, tractors, trucks, and semis were the things he enjoyed. As well as working long cattle hours with his friend Matt. Grandpa, don't forget the times we spent together with the goats!

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents Dawn Nath of Somers, IA, Brian (Candace) Nath of Laurens, IA; siblings: Brittany (Jonathan) Williams of CA, Jacob Nath of Somers, IA, Serenity Nath, Noah Nath, Ariya Nath all of Laurens, IA; cousins: Corey Stoos, Stehanie Stoos (James West), Brandon (Stephanie) Tilley, Emma (Colton) Fitzpatrick; aunts and uncles: Neva Stoos, Roger Stoos, Melinda (Mark) Tilley, Brittany (Spencer) Vacura, Sean (Nicki) Jones, and David Jones; grandparents: Bob and Ann Ehlers, Keith and Essie Nath, Donald and Millie Frankhouser, and Peter and Cherri Jones.

Matt was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Connie Frankhouser and Kathy Nath.

Celebration of life will be 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2026, Library Community Center, 424 Main Street, Rockwell City, Iowa.
