Matthew Steven Perraut

Matthew Steven Perraut, 45, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He was born to Charles (Chuck) William Perraut III and Peggy Ransdell Elliott.
He was a 1996 graduate of Bourbon County High School and a 2002 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. He was preceded in death by his grandparents as well as his stepfather, Dale Elliott.
Matt is survived by Rebecca Perraut, as well as his daughter, Madison and son, Bryce. He is also survived by his brothers Chad (Courtney) Perraut, Drew (Lynne) Perraut, Jeramiah (Audra) Perraut, and Adam (Lynsi) Perraut. His nieces, Lilli and Ivory and nephews, John, Andrew, Mark, Carson, Grant, Cash, Lucah, and Oliver. Also, survived by stepbrother, Steven (Becky) Brooks, stepsister, Renee Brooks, step nephews, Kyler, Jaron, and Logan, and step niece, Hailey Brooks. As well as numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He leaves behind many friends, family, workout partners, and countless athletes. Especially his bonus family Joe, Lana, Ben, and Beth Fryman. Matt loved being outdoors, physical fitness, practical jokes, and running.
Matt was the owner of Xtreme Fitness and the Big Squeegee. He also served the community as a Paris City Commissioner, longtime track and cross-country coach, as well as a member of the Leesburg Christian Church. He had a zest for life that was unmatched.
The funeral services for Matt Perraut will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13 at Bedford Acres Christian Church, 5414 Lexington Road, Paris, KY. Interment will follow in the Paris Cemetery with casket bearers being Chad Perraut, Drew Perraut, Jeramiah Perraut, Adam Perraut, Brian Watkins, and Lockhart Hinkle. Honorary bearers are his XF family, coaching family, and the Fryman family. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 12 from 3-6 p.m. at Bedford Acres Christian Church.
