Matthew Paco Sanchez, 57 of Amarillo died Tuesday July 15, 2025
Holy Rosary will be at 6:00 pm, Monday July 21 , 2025, at Bowell Brothers Ivy Chapel with a family visitation between 6:30 and 7:45 pm. Funeral service will be held Tuesday July 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Matthew was born on January 31, 1968, in Amarillo, TX. He was raised in Amarillo, TX to Tony and Marylou Sanchez where he attended elementary school at Our Lady of Guadalupe and other AISD schools.
He is preceded in death by both parents: Tony Michael Sanchez and Marylou G. Sanchez, 3 Brothers Raymond and Danny Sanchez and John Anthony, 1 Great Nephew Santiago (Bubba) Nunez, Domingo Feliz Renteria III, Zacharias Angel Adae, Paternal & Maternal Grandparents, Uncles, Aunties.
Matthew had such a BIG Heart always giving without hesitation, even if his finances were slim. He was always there for his nephews and nieces. He was the main caretaker for his mom. He loved sewing whether it was for proms. Weddings, entertainment or just creating things. His most cherished were his little chihuahuas Jewels, Paquito, & Salem. They were his “fur Babies”.
He is survived by his siblings, Geri Sandoval and husband Felix. Michael Sanchez and wife Lorene, Dina Alvarez, and husband Danny all of Amarillo, TX. Lorena Chavez of Alamogordo, NM; nieces, Sonia Nunez and husband James, Erica Gallagher and husband Tim, Shakera Gutierrez and husband Josh, Katrina Sandoval, Jennifer Nunez and husband Jimy, Adicia Sanchez, Taneshia Gutierrez and husband Luis, Michelle Sanchez, and Felix” Pancho” Sandoval and wife Yvonne; and 24 great nieces and nephews 24; 26 great great Nephews and nieces.
