Matthew Simmons Obituary
Matthew Brady Simmons, age 47, of Olathe, Kansas passed away July 29, 2026 in rural Ellis County, Kansas. Matthew was born September 4, 1978 in Olathe to Dale Eugene and Anne Marie (Trupp) Simmons.
Matthew has been a lifelong Olathe, Kansas resident graduating from Olathe North High School in 1997 where he participated in soccer and golf. On June 13, 2015 he married Darleta J. Sims in Olathe. He worked as a Branch Manager for a highway construction supplier. Matthew enjoyed everything to do with racing whether it was his car at dirt track races or watching NASCAR. He enjoyed motorcycle rides and playing golf in his spare time. Matthew will be remembered for his infectious smile and the ability light up a room as the life of the party.
He is survived by his wife, Darleta; his parents, Dale and Anne; a daughter, Kaitlin Simmons all of Olathe; two brothers, Josh Simmons and wife Carlie of Olathe and Andrew Simmons of Denver; as well as an uncle to, Jackson, Lailah and Hailey.
