I don't even know what to say... we grew up living next door to eachother for the longest time. It still feels un-real! You always seem the best in people... I will truly miss you just like many others.
To your mother and father and brothers, I am so sorry for your loss! I know this is hurting you all the most. Try to remember all the good things about Matt when you start to feel sad. He would want his family to remember the good things about him and to share some laughs. If anyone needs to vent or needs anything at all please feel free to contact me.

Matt was so talented, smart, funny, courageous, caring, loving, adventurous, and most definitely one of a kind. Thank you to the first man I ever loved for showing me what it felt like to be unconditionally loved.. No matter what was going on in either of our lives, we never lost our connection.

I've spent a lot of time with Matt.
We have played, travelled, studied, fought, dreamed, and ultimately, lived alongside each other for many years. To lose him is to lose apart of myself. It's funny how you don't realize how much someone means to you until you've lost them. Because of this, I didn't realize how many memories and transformational moments were created with Matt in my life until his recent passing. The impact of his passing leaves me in tears. I wish I could attend the viewing/funeral but won't be able to. But I'll be there in spirit, and will never forget the time that I spent with Matt.
My condolences go out to his family who I've always considered an extension of my family. I am grieving with you all and for you all. If there's anything I can do, let me know. I will always stand by you all. Especially now, more than ever.
