•Artist, visionary, friend, comrade•
Mau Ha has departed us on June 15, 2025. Viewing will be held at the Chapel in Oahu Cemetery July 18, 2025 from 8am-9am.
Mau was born on January 26, 2003 in Saint Cloud, Minnesota and grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended Queen Kapiolani Community College with an interest in media.
Mau is survived by his mother Hanh Le and his sister Denise Ha.
Mau will be remembered for his heart and for the way he moved through this world, a sensitive and perceptive soul that endlessly transmuted, grew, and bloomed throughout his life. A loyal friend, artist, and visionary, who was full of love and cared about the welfare of others and those around him. Mau was a Vietnamese trans man who took pride in his identity as an organizer and artist bringing together communities. He is well-known to the O ahu punk scene as a performer and the face of the radical queer community, and stood up for people within labor and organizing work as the co-chair of the Democratic Socialists of O'ahu, who sought out to unite his comrades under a banner of revolutionary care.
