MAURA Agnes Friedel-Manley Maura Agnes Friedel-Manley was born on May 5, 1957 six weeks early and only 5 pounds.

She departed this world on December 5, 2025 living life on her terms, vicariously and full of laughter.

Ms. Manley graduated in 1975 from The John Carroll School in Bel Air,Md.

She received her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Towson University in 1978. She played Varsity tennis, was SGA President.

In 1984 she achieved her MBA at National University, San Diego, Ca.

She lived in Newport Beach, Ca; Ellensburg, Wa; and Orleans, Indiana for 16 years.

It was during this time she taught Marketing and Sales for 10 years at Riverside College, and Central Wa. Univ. respectively, and began teaching Special Education.

Ms. Manley began a storytelling group in all 3 states and dabbled in Tarot cards

Upon her return to Baltimore in 1997, she taught Special Education for Baltimore City schools for 20 years and started her own tutoring firm "Gains In Brains."

In 2015, Ms. Manley moved to Cambridge, Maryland and renovated a 125 year old Victorian.

She began writing, and was published. She was also part of the Wednesday Morning Artists, where she dabbled in watercolor, sculpture, and oil. Her works were sold.

Maura was a frequent visitor to England and also traveled to Bali, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Tahiti, Europe, the Caribbean, and Canada.

She is survived by a sister, Mary "Molly" Colleen Friedel, and 19 cousins, and dear friends.

A Happy Celebration of Life will take place on May 5th at 12pm at the

Twin Harbors Community Association Pavilion
