Maureen Goins Obituary

Died: March 24, 2022 in Newport, NC
Maureen Ann (Lehner) Goins, 64, longtime resident of Mokena, IL, passed away on March 24, 2022 at her home in Newport, NC.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mokena, IL on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 10:00 am, followed by a lunch reception directly afterwards.
Maureen was born in Chicago, IL, graduated from Mother McAuley High School in Chicago and earned her bachelor's degree from Saint Xavier University also in Chicago. True to her southside Irish roots she was an avid White Sox fan. Maureen was a talented crafter (gifting many family members with handmade embroidered stockings), avid reader and recorder of family history. Above all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Terry Goins; caring children, Terry Goins (Alexis), Kelly Miller (Michael), Sean Goins (Beth), and Stephanie Davis (Milton); devoted brother and sister, Frank Lehner (Colette) and Nancy Meyer (Buck); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dianne, Virginia, Ray and Larry; adoring grandchildren, Adam, William, Kadence, Camden, Eden, Caitlin, Braden, Leslie Haynes (Garrett), Lacey Tse (Jerry), and Molly; great grand-children Julianne and Hazel, as well as her many dear cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Maureen is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Francis Lehner and Teresa Lehner (Morrison).
