Maureen Jones Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home - Boardman/Youngstown on Dec. 2, 2025.
Youngstown - Our beloved mother and grandmother, Maureen A Jones transitioned from the loving arms of her family into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 26, 2025. She was 88 years old.
Maureen was born in Youngstown on July 16, 1937, the daughter of Joseph and Veronica Collins. She attended East High School. Maureen was a homemaker until her children were grown and then worked in the custodial department of Boardman Schools until her retirement.
Maureen met the love of her life, Don, when they were 14 and 15 years old and had been inseparable until his passing in 2021. They later married and began their family. Her children, grandchildren, and three great-grandsons were her pride and joy.
Maureen enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, cooking and hosting holiday gatherings and Sunday dinners, day trips with her husband Don, and reading.
Maureen was a woman of great faith in God and she instilled that into her children and grandchildren. She was the heart and soul of our family and her presence will be deeply cherished and profoundly missed. Our only peace is that she is in the presence of our Lord and Savior and reunited with the love of her life, Don.
Maureen leaves her children, Karen Prusak of Boardman, Donald (Melissa) Jones of Poland, Colleen (Raymond) Lopez of Youngstown, Grandchildren, Brianna (Michael) Santoro, Donald (Maggie) Jones, Olivia (Jacob Dagoda) Prusak, Eric (Emily) Jones, John Prusak, Alana Lopez, Ava Lopez, and great-grandsons, Luciano & Santino Santoro, and Donald Jones, sister-in-laws, Sophie Collins, Carol Hollenbaugh, Beverly (Wendell) Neal, many nieces and nephews, and special friends, Rita Bugzavich and Shannon Nesbitt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jerome, John, Donald, Kevin, Eugene, Gerald, Edward and Thomas Collins, and sister, Noreen Berringer and son-in-law John Prusak.
Maureen's family would like to thank Compass Mercy Health Hospice and Dr. Walter Passarello.
