Maureen Ann Lansing, affectionately known as McKeegan, was on September 24, 1937 in Berkeley, California. She embarked on her journey through life with a spirit that was loving and kind, always putting her family first and ensuring their happiness was her utmost priority. Maureen's unwavering devotion to those she loved was evident in every aspect of her life.
Ma pursued her education diligently, earning a bachelor's degree in personnel management, which laid the foundation for her long career as a dedicated secretary. She approached her profession with the same warmth and commitment that characterized her personal life, where she deeply valued the relationships she nurtured both at work and home.
She spent her later years in Nolanville, Texas, where she cultivated treasured memories surrounded by her family. Maureen was a proud mother to her sons, Joseph Lansing and Jeff Lansing, who remain in Nolanville. She took immense pride in her children, with her legacy brightly shining through them and her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her great joy and fulfillment.
In addition to her immediate family, Maureen is lovingly remembered by her sister, Sharon McKeegan of Gilroy, California, as well as numerous cherished family members and friends who were touched by her kindness and care.
Though Maureen faced the heartache of losing her son, John Lansing, in 2003, she embodied resilience, nurturing her family with love and strength through the years. Her heart was a beacon of light, bringing comfort and understanding to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Maureen's life, filled with loving moments and a genuine passion for her family, came to a gentle close on November 21, 2024. The world will forever feel the absence of her bright spirit, but her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of calling her family and friend. Her love, a precious gift that will always be cherished, reminds us of the enduring bonds we share.
Maureen will be laid to rest at a later date back home in California.
