Maureen Lord Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartmell-Davis Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. - Main Office on Mar. 3, 2026.
Maureen "Mo" Catherine Lord passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, at the age of 85.

Born on April 22, 1940, she was the eldest daughter of Mary Catherine Flynn and Edward Ryan. As the oldest of three, Maureen helped guide her siblings, Judith Parsons and Kevin Ryan, with wisdom, watchful care, and the loving spirit of a third parent.

Maureen met the love of her life, Bob, when she was just 16, and they married three years later. Together they built a life centered on family and raised three children: Michael, who passed away in 2006, Christine, and Robert. Her children remember her as a woman who devoted all 85 years of her life to caring for those around her, always placing her family at the heart of everything she did.

Her grandchildren will forever cherish memories of an ambitious traveler and devoted caretaker who made every summer an adventure. With all four grandchildren in tow, she orchestrated beach trips, road trips, and even a surprise 4 a.m. limousine ride to the airport for a week-long trip to Disney World. She greeted every sunrise with intention, determination, and a well-made plan for the day.

Maureen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob; her son, Michael; and her grandson, Samuel. She leaves behind her daughter, Christine, and her husband Mark; her son, Robert, and his wife Connie, and her son Michael's widow Marie; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brother and sister; and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

All services will be private for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maureen's memory to the MSPCA, an organization she faithfully supported throughout her life.
