Maureen Frances MacDonald

Maureen F. MacDonald, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at the age of 71 in Milford, MA. Born on February 4, 1955, in Framingham, MA, Maureen was the beloved daughter of the late John Austin and Marie Theresa (Croughwell) Murray, Jr.

Maureen's life was a testament to her loving, kind, and thoughtful nature. She dedicated many years of service to Atria, Adin Manor, and Next Level Services, where she worked in housekeeping. Her commitment to her work was paralleled only by her devotion to her family and her passion for her interests.

A true matriarch, Maureen's love for her family knew no bounds. She is survived by her children, Lisa Sousa and her husband Steven of Milford, and Thomas MacDonald and his wife Amanda of Milford. Maureen's legacy continues through her four grandchildren, Junior, Gabriella, Cecilia, and Liliana, who will miss her deeply. Her sister, Jean Olsen, and her husband Alfred of Millville, will fondly remember Maureen's warmth and guidance. She also leaves behind her niece, Ashley Olsen, and nephews, Christopher Murray and JJ Wylie, who will cherish the memories of their kind aunt.

Maureen was predeceased by her siblings, Kate Wylie and Kevin Murray, but the bonds of family and love they shared continue to live on through the stories and memories held dear by those who knew them.

An avid crossword puzzle enthusiast, Maureen found joy in the challenge and satisfaction of completing them. Sundays were a special time for her, as she relished watching football and sharing those moments with her loved ones. Her presence brought a sense of comfort and happiness to these simple pleasures, turning them into cherished traditions.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 11AM-12PM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford, followed by a Memorial Service at 12 Noon.
