Maureen Elizabeth Tyrer McKee

Maureen E. Tyrer McKee passed away on Tuesday August 5 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by her family and love.

Maureen then met the love of her life on a blind date and soon after married him, Morris Wayne McKee. Morris and Maureen made the leap from her hometown to Texas. She always said that she was a Texan by sacrifice, she had to marry Morris to get here.

Maureen was an active member of the Irving JayCees helping to direct and organize community and charity events. She was a Beautiful, Intelligent ,Talented, Caring Human. That is Nanas joke, if you know you know.

Maureen always did what was right even when it was hard to do. She stood up for those who could not stand up for themselves, she fed those who were hungry, sheltered others from the hardships they could not face alone.

Maureens daughter Kathleen McKee-Kelly (husband) Timothy Kelly and their children Blair Kelly Darby Kelly and Reily Kelly.

Mom, Nana, Maureen Elizabeth Tyrer-McKee was one bad-ass lady who lived honestly and Godly, and especially lived as an example and leader to all who knew her and met her that they could model their lives and love after.

I will always remember Maureen's keen wit and beautiful laugh. I know she and our mutual friend, Mary Anne are celebrating with stories and laughter in heaven. I know Morris is right there listening and enjoying every single story. All of them were such beautiful treasures to all who knew them.
